The Benfica Museum is located beside the stunning Benfica Stadium. Also known as the Museu Benfica - Cosme Damião, it was opened to the public in 2013 and is named after one of its key founders, Cosme Damião. He was also the team’s first captain-coach.
Through a mix of virtual and augmented reality, as well as audio and video, you dive deep into the club’s legacy, the trophies it’s won, some of the club’s most prominent players, and key moments in its history. In fact, it was even awarded the prize for the Best Portuguese Museum in 2014 by the Portuguese Association of Museology.
